Write about the little accomplishments along with the big ones. I like topics about "how to budget" AND topics about "getting fit for summer". Tells us how you took a walk with your wife instead of watching TV, then spin it so that now you feel more satisfide with the fact that you already spent your going out money so walking is a great alternative. Remember, we the readers are here because of you being you, not you being concerned about readership levels. Tell us your thoughts and we'll listen.

There seems to be more headaches from every avenue of life when you have debt how do folks deal with this kind of stuff all the time. I can't deal. I would rather live out of a box on a street corner. Than have to deal with how the hell am I going to pay the electric bill, the rent, the credit cards, the car loan......

How about how do you deal with the stress everyday. My hubby and I are in our mid-twenties and I love to budget. Feel free to take a look at our expenses breakdown...cut and paste then include your own info if you'd like or email me for a sample (info below).
Budgeting is simply knowing how much you have to spend, want to spend, and keeping on track.
Our budget is a three columned Excel sheet; one column for the category name, one column for our planned spending, and one column for what actually was spent. Then you can see how well you did overall in the totals or look at specific categories you want to work on. :-)
If you would like an emailed sample, please just shoot me an email at budgetingfunstuff *at* gmail *dot* com. I can't check my email from work, but I can email you back with the sample in the evening.

I found you through Frugal Dad, but I keep coming back to see how you're doing on the debt...I'd love to see the days you make $100 progress.
I actually started my blog about a week ago simply since I love personal blog stories like yours so I wanted to add my story to the collection. :-)
I'd love to see monthly updates on your debt and posts on the days you make progress. I'd also love to hear how you're getting together the extra money...what are y'all cutting to hit the debt harder? What are y'all doing for frugal fun? What's on your mind as you go?
I also love personal stories, but I wasn't sure if I should suggest that for a financial blog or not. I mean, from your POV, wouldn't you love to hear some stories from Frugal Dad or some other bloggers you read?
This makes me want to make my blog more personal...any ideas on anything you'd want to hear? Is there something I could look into that would help you out? I'm open for suggestions...

That's why I read these type blogs - it helps keep me focused and motivated. We are at the point of being debt-free other than our mortgage, and I find it much harder to stay on track toward our next goals now than I did when I was looking at those balances. However, we aren't where we want to be yet, so I need to stay on task!

I came over when you started writing for Frugal Dad. I have no financial guidance from parents, and mostly turn to the internet for research and one thing I struggle with is budgeting. I am in my mid twenties so it would be nice to know what works for other people in my age group.

I would really like a “How to Budget” post. I guess people like to hear how you are saving that extra $100, what you are cutting back on and what alternates to spending money you have... Just stuff like that.

I have been checking out the various options and cannot seem to find one that fits the bill for me. Mainly that it be able to automatically update my accounts. (I bank at a very small credit union that no one seems to support).
The concept of envelope budgeting has help cement in my mind the idea that you only allocate and spend money after it has been earned.
Would love your thoughts.

And, of course whenever you pay off a debt you'd better shout it out!!! Keeps the rest of us motivated.

Yes – I would love to hear about your smaller payments. And even short articles are nice!
